Helios Pro
Still serving players well even at 10+ years old!
Laser beams spread:
- The laser beam can spread to a good few inches wide
- You can even tag multiple players with one shot!
The laser has a limited rate of fire:
- Level 1 and 2 game modes - 1.5 shots per second
- Level 3 game modes - 1 shot per second
Trigger lockout delay: '"Listen to the vest and do what it tells you to do."
- When your vest re-activates, it plays the famous "wakeup" sound.
- While it is making this sound, your laser cannot fire.
- If you attempt to fire before the sound finishes playing - your laser will be locked for 60milliseconds.
Learn the deactivation time:
- Level 1 and 2 game modes - 5 seconds
- Level 3 game modes - 8 seconds
- This will always remain consistent throughout the game

*NOTE: Power ups are not available in Level 3 games
Bases
Bases are worth 2001 points, enough to turn the tides of the game.
They take 3 consecutive hits from the same individual to destroy, but you have to take it slow - about one shot per second.
It is recommended practice to go after bases early in the game.
The edge of the base is where the sensor is, specifically the silver rectangles - those are the best spots to shoot.
Once destroyed, a base has a 30 second downtime before it can be destroyed by another player.
In a Level 1 (standard/public) game, it's not really worth defending your base. You never lose points if your base gets destroyed.
It's always better to try to outscore the opposing teams, than prevent them from scoring points. That being said blocking other players' movements is not allowed.
There are special rules regarding bases in Level 3 games, which will be explained later.
Other useful tips
- "If you tag multiple players - remember the order in which they went down, because they will ALWAYS re-activate in the exact same order."
- "Find areas with large concentrations of opposing players - that's where the real points are!"
- "No matter where you're playing - the middle of the arena is always a death trap"
- "Keep moving, you're harder to tag if you keep circling the perimeter of the arena.'"
- "Assuming you're right-handed and shoot from right to left, it's easiest to circle the arena counter-clockwise."
